There are several restaurants in the area that are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Following are some of our favorites:
HummingBird - This restaurant is located on the Anse Chastanet Road where it meets Soufriere. Beautiful views of the beachfront as well as the Petit Piton can be seen while dining. They offer appetizers, salads, fresh fish, shrimp, steak and lobster (when in season). Of course, many good desserts are on the menu as well. There is also a satellite tv available in the bar area. Reservations are not required and prices are reasonable. Recommended
Martha's Tables - This local restaurant is on the Jalousie Road before you enter the Jalousie Hotel at the base of the Petit Piton. Martha prepares and serves excellent local dishes such as curry chicken and baked fish. All of her meals come fully loaded with rice, beans, vegetables, plantains or macaroni and cheese. Martha's is open for lunch but it is best to call and confirm (459-7270). Recommended
Pirate's Cove - This restaurant is located on the waterfront in Soufriere. There is a variety of dishes including sandwiches, wraps, fresh fish and salads all offered at reasonable prices. Stop by for lunch and be entertained with people watching. There is also cable tv available as well.
Dasheene - This restaurant in the Ladera Resort is known for its' spectacular views between the Pitons and it's award winning food. Plan on arriving early for dinner, having a drink or two and watching the sunset - you will not be disappointed. Reservations are required and prices are moderately expensive. Dasheene is approx. a 20 min. drive from the Tree House. Recommended
Jalousie and Anse Chastanet Hotel offers three and two restaurants respectively. Prices are more expensive at the resorts than the above restaurants and reservations are suggested for dinner.
Archie's and Camilla's are both located in the center of town and are great local restaurants that serve fish and chicken meals. Here you will experience a true Caribbean meal. For dinner at the Tree House, call a taxi driver for pick up and delivery.
Anse La Raye offers a Friday Night Fish Fry. Food vendors line the streets with all kinds of fish, chicken, shrimp, vegetables and all the fixings plus desserts. Come enjoy a night out with food, music and fun entertainment. Anse La Raye is approx. 45 min. north of Soufriere.
Marigot Bay offers a choice of several restaurants. Doolittle's, Chateau Mygo and Discovery at Marigot Bay are great places to stop for lunch.
Further north in Castries and Rodney Bay you can find all kinds of excellent restaurants. The Big Chef Steak House, Capone's, The Lime, The Coal Pot and Cap Grill are just a few.
